SPA WATERS & SANCTUARIES OF HEALING:
Landscapes of Transformation and the Creative Imagination

Friday, May 30th – Wednesday, June 4th, 2014

Toskana Therme, Bad Orb, Germany, and the famous
Liquid Sound Temple (http://www.toskanaworld.net)

Offered by Veronica Goodchild, Ph.D
and Robert Romanyshyn, Ph.D

At this crucial time of change, it is more important than ever to respond to the environmental and institutional crises of our time by offering a new vision of our place in nature and the cosmos.

This 5 day residential workshop at Bad Orb, Germany, a spa situated in parkland and forest, is envisioned as inner journeys in the outer world, which restores our broken bonds with creation. The purposes of this workshop are to help each of us find our part in a new vision and to develop practical ways of implementing it in our daily lives. Thermal water soaking and therapies—especially in the Liquid Sound Temple at Bad Orb—are sanctuaries of deep transformation. Within this context, the practices in this workshop foster the creative imagination.

These practices slow us down, free us from distractions, and help us to remember who we are and are meant to be, often lost in the rapid pace of life.

Journal writing and walking in nature are encouraged throughout the workshop. In addition, there are spa treatment options available, as well as nourishing food and wine.

Participants will engage in transformative practices through a variety of modalities that aim to activate the creative imagination necessary for this vision and its implementation:

  • daily dream work focuses on embodiment of the characters and landscapes of the dream;
  • music as a process of meditation;
  • poetry and finding one’s own voice;
  • film and expanding one’s vision;
  • conversation and creating community.
